Hi all,
I want to compile gcc 3.4.3 on 32-bit x86
redhat Linux system, for 64 bit Power PC. Can you give some pointers
for cross compiling. I tried, but I am facing the problem, in gcc
folder,

For Configuring i have mentioned like this
./configure --target=powerpc-*-eabi
--host=i686-pc-linux-gnu \
--enable-shared \
--enable-64-bit-bfd
\
--prefix=/usr/src/redhat/BUILD/toolchain/src/gcc1
\
-
--with-local-prefix=/usr/src/redhat/BUILD/toolchain/src/gcc1/local \
--with-sysroot=/

and i have done
make

following are the error messages.

TARGET_CPU_DEFAULT="" \
HEADERS="auto-host.h ansidecl.h" DEFINES="" \
/bin/sh ../../../gcc/mkconfig.sh bconfig.h
bconfig.h is unchanged
./genmodes -h > tmp-modes.h
/bin/sh: line 1: ./genmodes: cannot execute binary file

Thanks in advance, I feel that i will get reply for this.

Thanks & Regards,
