[K42-discussion] Running K42 on Power Mac G5 Quad

Here's another "does K42 run on this machine?" question =).

Does anyone know if K42 is currently capable of running on the
new Apple Power Mac G5 Quad? (Michal? Andrew? Paul Hargove?)

The UofT K42 group is thinking of purchasing one of these machines
to expand our pool of victims and enable basic CMP research.

Issues:
1. The biggest wrinkle seems to be that it uses PCI Express instead of the
   previous generation PCI.
2. I think that means we can't plug in the G5 Stealth serial port card
   (www.geethree.com), as mentioned in previous postings, leading to big
   headaches in booting K42.

Does anyone have advice/insight/warnings for us?
