[K42-discussion] What is the correct version of gcc, glibc, binutils, linux and linuxthreads required for a successful K42 build ?

Cool, that makes good sense. Patrick, are you starting the gcc 4 port on
Power? I know the focus on your side is intel, but it would be good to
get the fixes for the new compiler in there before dealign with the x86
issues.
b.t.w. Chris Matthews from victoria has been working with Jonathan to
extract the clustered object services from K42 to make them generally
useful for writting system software, as part of that they should be
getting it all working on x86 as well. We may be porting other components
of k42 to x86 for other research experiments, so please post your
experiences regularly.
